Privacy

The short version

  • Without an account, your habits never leave your device.
  • With an account, they're stored so they can reach your other devices. Only you can see them.
  • No ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies, and your data is never sold.
  • You can download everything, and delete your account and everything in it, at any time.

Who runs One More Fold

One More Fold (called Eightfold until 30 October 2026) is a personal project made by Pulkit Choudhary ("oze"), in India. "We" on this page means him. For anything about your data, write to the email address at the bottom of the home page.

What we keep

If you use One More Fold without an account

Your habits, ticks, wishes and settings are saved in your browser's own storage on your device. They are not sent to us. Reminders run in your browser too.

If you sign in

  • Your email address, to sign you in and send sign-in links.
  • If you use Google: Google tells our sign-in service your email, your name and a link to your profile picture. We only use the email.
  • Your tracker: habit names, colours, times, schedules and goals; the days you ticked; your wishes; and display settings.
  • If you turn on reminders with One More Fold closed: your time zone, which habits to remind you about, and for each device you turn them on for, the address its browser gives us for delivering notifications. We also note which reminders went out, for two weeks, so none is sent twice, and keep a scrambled copy (a hash) of each reminder's one-time code for its Done and Later buttons, for up to 36 hours.
  • Technical records that the services below keep to run and protect the site, such as sign-in sessions and request logs with IP addresses.

What we don't do

There is no analytics, advertising or tracking code on One More Fold. We don't sell, rent or share your data for marketing, and we don't use it to train anything.

Why we keep it

Only to give you One More Fold: to sign you in, save your tracker, keep your devices in step, and keep the service secure. If you sign in, keeping your tracker is the service you asked for. You can stop at any time by deleting your account.

Where it lives, and who helps

  • Supabase stores accounts and trackers, on servers in Mumbai, India, and runs sign-in.
  • Cloudflare serves the website.
  • Google handles "Continue with Google", only if you choose it. The site's fonts come from One More Fold itself, so Google doesn't see your visits.
  • An email service, through Supabase, sends sign-in links.
  • Your browser's push service (Google for Chrome and Android, Apple for Safari, Mozilla for Firefox, Microsoft for Edge) delivers reminders sent while One More Fold is closed, only if you turn them on. Each reminder is encrypted for your device, so the service passes it on without being able to read it.

They handle data for us to run One More Fold, under their own security and privacy terms. Some of them may process data outside India.

Who can see your tracker

You. The database only gives each signed-in person their own rows; nobody else who uses One More Fold can read them, and visitors who aren't signed in get nothing at all.

As the person who runs the service, Pulkit can technically reach the database. He looks at someone's data only when they ask for help, to fix a security problem, or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. When you delete it, your account and everything in it are removed from the database straight away. Copies in the hosting provider's backups, if any, disappear as those backups expire. Request logs are kept by the services above for their own limited periods.

Your choices

  • Use it without an account. Nothing leaves your device.
  • Take it with you. "Save a backup" on the Habits page downloads everything as a file.
  • Correct it. Edit or remove anything in the tracker.
  • Remove it from a browser. In the account menu, "Sign out and remove my folds from this browser". Signing out also stops reminders on that device.
  • Delete everything. In the account menu, "Delete my account".
  • Ask. Write to us about access, correction, deletion or anything else. If you're not happy with the answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live (in India, the Data Protection Board of India).

Children

Accounts are for people aged 18 or over. If you're younger, use One More Fold without an account; then nothing about you reaches us. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we'll delete it.

Keeping it safe

Everything travels over HTTPS. The database checks every request against the person making it. The site runs no outside scripts and a strict security policy. No system is perfect: if something ever goes wrong that affects your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change matters, for example a new service that handles your data, we'll say so on the site before it applies.
